close the knives
between the lines
whatever we do
we do ourselves

disordered world
the glaring white
carried to the mouth
locked to the land

hands drag blood
from the wheels edge
tied in the back
thorn in the birds

unrest the godless
glean the shallows
grey weighted sky
heavy on dust

fire in the hillside
speed of winter
the wind
the wheat
the sky

The combination of objective realism and subjective realism creates a narrative ambiguity in the sense that any questions that may arise in the work around place, identity and memory are not answered.
