flicker through the fire house
on the return
the rolling west
the night reached on
to the blue vault of heaven
steel burnished by shadow and light
sweat dust heat
laws striking hand
echo in a rising
inside the generations
rattles through the pretty leaves
split the gloaming day
blinding the darkest life
if my lips teach
on the eleventh day
