This project, Kindle the Names, was undertaken in partnership with ABM. It was devised to document real stories from the Middle East, including Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and Africa. Filmed over 10 days, the project features documentary footage focusing on a young family displaced by bridge construction funded by the Chinese government for the export of gold and iron ore. The approach was Shot from the hip, to capture life as it is experienced in these moments — frozen in time, yet gone forever. Regional shots include Gambela, the historic homeland of the indigenous Anuak people.
